Visit to Aiyden and Kenzie's

We went to Aiyden and kenzies house as part of this terms project.  We are learning about families so are visiting our classmates homes.  Aiyden and Kenzie have a really nice house that their Mum Miss Jill built.  They live with their Mum and Dad and Brother Romeo and Sister (i forgot her name :( ) They showed us their rooms and where they play and eat and stuff. 


I learned that they have a family very similar to mine in amny ways ... like my family they are family for real not just in SL .... Their love for one and other is very real and extends beyond second life onto skypes and other stuff too.  this is very similar to my family as we do loads together outside SL.


I wish i hadn't had to leave early but i was sick in RL and had to go lay down.


I am really looking forward to visiting some of my other class mates homes :D

How did having your egg affect your SL life and responsibilities to others?

Having Egglanting has been really fun,  At first i thought it would be a chore and really annoying but i soon grew to love her.  I took her to Adventure club and Little leaders with me and she gave me something to talk to the other kids about.  See we all had something in common to talk about.  I managed to do all my other things just had to make sure i had Egglantine with me at all times.  I still played with my baby brothers and sisters and i still looked after my dragons.  It made me realise how it must be for mums and dads making sure they know where their kids are all the time.

What is your greatest accomplishment in Second Life?

 
I am not really sure what my greatest accomplishment in SL is, i have accomplished many things over the past 3 years.  I have learned to build a little and can make a few simple things.  I have learned to love and be loved in return. I think maybe the biggest thing for me is learning to overcome my social phobia and starting to make some friends.  I still have a long way to go but i am getting there and attending OSE is helping me a lot.before starting at Oceanside i barely spoke to anyone and stayed home on my families sim most of the time.  Now i am becoming more confident and starting to go and explore other places and have started trying to talk to people.  I am still nervous that i am making people unhappy by being near them but i am starting to work through this.  so yeah i think that begining to battle my social phobia head on is maybe my biggest accomplishment on SL.

What is your favourite trait you possess and why?

I think my favourate trait is my cheekyness. It always makes people laugh and i love that i make people happy.  Also it helps me to make new friends.  Although it did get me in trouble the other day and i got a time out. 

I have some other good traits too.  I think i am kind and gentle most of the time.  Also i am very loyal to my friends and family. I think i work hard and try my best to make friends.



If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

If i could live anywhere in te world it would be Australia.  Then i would be close to my Mum and soon my Dad too when he moves over to marry her.  It is a lot warmer than the UK where i currently live. Also they have cool animals there like crocs and kangaroos and koalas.  I wold have to pt up with snakes and spiders too tho which i do not like bt i think it wold be worth it to live close by a family that loves me for who i am not just because i was born to them. 

If i couldn't live in Ausralia for what ever reason i would want to have enough money to buy an island and have all my family live there together like a little comunity.  We would farm our own crops and raise cattle and chickens and there would be a school for the kids.  We wouldnt need money because there wouuld be plenty of everything for everyone and no one would go without.  no one would be incharge and no one would be better than anyone else. we will all be equal and everyone would have a say in choices to be made.  People would only be able to come onto the island if they were invited as there would be magic protection spells all around it and even if someone nasty was invited they couldnt get in.  children would be raised to accept all others no matter what their differences and taugh how wrong and hurtfl it is to be mean to people.  There would be lots of fun things to do like swimming and canoing, horse riding, sports and almost everything you can imagine as long as it doesnt use electricity because my island wont have electricity.  We will use parafin lanterns and candles like in olden tines and wold cook on harths and ranges.  No TV or video games, and everyone would sit down and eat together like a proper family. 

What is/was your favourite childhood toy?

My favourite childhood toy in RL was my A-Team an and the figures from the show.  I would speand housrs playing with them.  The van had a button that you pushed and it played the theme tune from the show. Also the lights on the top would flash.  Each of the different figures had bttons on the back that when pushed made them quote phrases from the show.  I spent hours playing with them.  It is amazing how ofter the A-Team captured Skeletor or other baddies from different shows in my house.  Me and my older brothers had amazing imaginations so we could incorperate all our toys into oine game including He-Man, Thundercats, A-Team and many more.

In SL my favourite toy has to be my Mysti tool HUD.  there are so many things you can do with it, from rezing tables and chairs, sky platforms or posing stands, to putting your parents in time out with the traps. or putting out a AV follow chair so you can move about easier in lag.  Not to mention the radar, i would be completely lost without it and although i detach it while i am at school as soon as i get home the first thing i do is attach it.

If you could fix second life what would you do?

If i could change anything in Second Life about how it works, it would be to erase all lag and banish the lag monster to the depths of darkness which it came from.  I know that this isn't really possible ut it is a nice thoght to have.

If i could change stuff aot how people are in Second Life it wold be to ensure that only adults who really want kids and are prepared for the full responsibility of that are allowed to adopt them.  I see too often kids having to move from family to family because they have been adopted by people who mearly want a few token kids to take out and about with them every now and then.  That is not what most kids want in SL.  Most of us want a real family environment where we casn be nurtured and thrive. I am sure you all have wonderful families now.... but how many families have you been in before you found the right one for you?  I know i was in a few before i found my forever family.

I would also make a rule saying if there is a group like 50l friday kids, each creator HAS to make either a unisex item or 1 item for male and 1 item for femal.  Boys are poorly catered for in the majority of SL.  yes there are those thast cater for them but they are few and far between.

there are several other little things i would like to change abot sl but i am not going to go into them now.  The only thing i will add is that i wish everyone wold remeber that behind every SL avatar is a REAL person with REAL feelings!!
